True to form, Alan Ayckbourn again takes us by surprise. Known mainly for his many comedies of manners and relationships, ‘Snake in the Grass’ shows a darker side of Ayckbourn’s talent in this story of two mismatched sisters and their father’s manipulative nurse. Each vies for dominance in their relationships, but is Miriam as weak-willed as Annabel thinks? Why did Annabel’s marriage fail? What is Alice’s true motive for blackmail? Who is ‘Lewis’? What secret terrors does this dilapidated garden hold… and what lies at the bottom of the well? Meanwhile … anyone for tennis?

How We're Helping
The “Friends” group aim is to support the staff at Churston Library and to provide extra requirements not covered by the local authority.
It organises coffee mornings and day trips throughout the year to raise funds which can be used to improve the library facilities

We’re looking for a friendly, warm and enthusiastic person able to work on their own initiative as well as part of the library team to help create a welcoming and tidy space for library users. The role includes:
· Returning books to their appropriate places within the library
· To ensure books are in the correct alphabetical or numerical order
· Create clean and tidy shelving areas throughout the library
