Montacute application form on-line and in the Library
Montacute House is a masterpiece of Elizabethan Renaissance architecture. Constructed from local Ham Stone, it was built around 1598. It was acquired by the National Trust in 1927. The Long Gallery, the longest in England, is home to the South West’s National Portrait Collection featuring many artists, including Rembrandt and Whistler. Take a walk around the magnificent gardens when you have explored the wonders of the house. There are the usual cafes and shops available. En route we will be stopping at the Otter Garden Centre, Ottery St Mary for refreshments etc. before continuing our journey to Montacute.
Price as follows: Members of the Friends £13.50; non-members £15.50
Admission to Montacute is £12.10 for those not NT members.
There will be 2 pick up points, Brixham at 8:15am, Churston Library at 8.30am. Departure from Montacute will be at 4:30pm.
As always Churston Library would appreciate it if people arriving by car would not use the library car park as this is for library users only.The Staff thank you in advance for your co-operation.
